CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS TRAINING
This course is directed to the new detective or uniformed officer responsible for conducting criminal investigations beyond that of a first responder. The course is designed to provide a foundation of knowledge and skills to expedite the investigators's ability to conduct extended quality criminal investigations.

Upon completion of the course the investigator will know the fundamentals of a good investigation, resources available to help conduct criminal investigations, using the necessary four elements will be able to draft an affidavit to obtain an arrest or search warrant, properly execute the warrants, how to develop, evaluate, and utilize an informant, how to prepare and conduct a thorough interview or interrogation, conduct and memorialize surveillances, develop and institute good report writing and case management skills, prepare for court testimony and depositions.

VEHICLE THEFT INVESTIGATION
This course is designed to teach the investigator to identify a stolen vehicle and compile sufficient evidence to assemble a prosecutable case regarding the theft.

Upon completion of this course the investigator will decipher the characters of the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), know where to look for additional vehicle identifiers, know how to preserve altered VIN numbers for use as evidence, and be able to use various resources to identify a stolen vehicle.
